Project Description
TURNING PAIN INTO ACTION
POPS is not a political organization, and our allies and supporters come from all walks of life, from prosecutors to men and women who were formerly incarcerated. The most important element of advocacy inside POPS the Club is self-advocacy. We encourage students to find their truths, and draw strength as they claim their own stories. Many POPS students and graduates have become powerful speakers, mentors and advocates in their own right. They have taken their messages everywhere, from college classrooms to social justice conferences to the White House. We encourage POPS members to remain connected to POPS the Club long after graduation. And we take great pride in the number of graduates who continue to work with POPS as volunteers, interns, and ambassadors.
If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.
Providing training, supervision, assessment, materials, food, curriculum, publishing and performance opportunities for one school club to operate for one year costs $ 10,000.
We rely on our community partners, foundations and your support to continue our work and to continue to expand our reach.
Your contributions ensure delivery of the best program and services to POPS students across the country.
